Friday March 30th is a day full of great music. It’s tough with the nice weather coming up and there being more house parties being thrown to make it out to shows, but this weekend it doesn’t matter what your crew is into, there is a show you should go see.
Starting off at the Double Door is J. Roddy Walston & The Business. I missed him at Lollapalooza in 2011, but heard so much about his act I swore I would see him in the next year. Coming out from Baltimore, J. Roddy Walston brings pure rock and roll.
If you wanted something a little more chill, Of Monsters and Men are playing The Park West. The six piece band from Iceland has already had some success, with their song “Little Talks”, that has spread over the world wide web like wildfire after the Seattle based radio station KEXP.
If you wanted to go all out, catch one of the two shows above, and still feel like the night should keep on going, then head over to The Mid and dance your ass off to Wolfgang Gartner. Whether or not his take on electro-house is your thing or not, you have to respect his steep rise up the electro-house ranks.
No matter what your tastes, there is something you can see Friday night. Get out there and party like a Rebel!
